I don't understand when people

1) tell me they have no time. Pls lah, u got 24 hrs everyday, let u sleep 10 hrs liao still got 14 hrs. You can do many things in 14 hrs. So don't try to act busy in front of me.

2) are so weak. Yes, U. Move on lah. If u know it yourself that you shouldn't be stuck at the same spot, move on! You don't need an expert to guide you in that. (i don mean physically..)

3) think for themselves only. You think the world only u only ah? Stop being so selfish and open your eyes wider.

PS: I am not referring to anyone in particular. Just saying what I feel...anyhow one...hahaa

CHINATOWN!

Finally a post after weeks! Really busy, many things to do...Went chinatown on last Sat..YAY CNY is coming!!! It's heavy traffic, queueing to enter carpark!


Of course, it's a must to get a cup of KOI when u are in chinatown! Oh yeah, for those of u who keep asking me where is KOI in chinatown, look at the picture above! I don't remember the shopping centre's name (Chinatown shopping centres all similar names...hahah) just look for the green building, it's at the ground level (walkway) directly opposite the bus stop. I don't know how many of my friends have become fans of KOI liao...HAHAHA let's all become fat!




KOI's GRASS JELLY BUBBLE TEA ($3.50). The black layer on top is grass jelly. You think it's just normal grass jelly...NOT! It's really hard to describe the texture of it...it's in between those agar agar and the jap chewy jelly texture! It's so good with the milk tea! Wah..donno where they get the grass jelly from one...must try!
TIP WHEN ORDERING KOI: Ask for "VERY LITTLE pearls"...I don't know why they like to fill HALF the cup with pearl everytime. And when I ask for less pearl, it's still A LOT of pearl. And finally I have perfected my ordering skill, to say "VERY LITTLE pearl", then the amount will come out just right...

and oh ya pardon the poor resolution, taken using my louya phone...ha


The chinatown night market is packed! So many people...forgot to take photo.

In case if you are going there, remember to buy this....guess what is it...

Rou Gan(BBQ Meat)? Nope! It's CUTTLEFISH WITH SEAWEED($1.50)! It's very good, warm and crispy with seaweed! It's at one of the stalls in the night market. Real life it looks much better la...photo's fault...

Besides these, got many things to buy also. At DaZhongGuo(Big China)...the traditional chinese bakery..there's chigu crackers (a kind of fruit, fried) and great prawn rolls!!! I also saw a stall selling taiwan pastries, the Sun biscuit, and handmade egg rolls...but the queue is really long and I gave it a miss.

JUST AFTER X'MAS!

I just missed posting on X'MAS! Nvm...it's just minutes over. I was too busy eating my KFC, X'Mas Log Cake...and I still have chewy junior donuts and bowls of dessert (pulut hitam and chestnut thing) in fridge!

Wah so many things I want to do, but I have done NONE so far...ahya no mood go eat the buffets leh...donno why...

I am planning my Very Short Overseas Trip..YAY!! I really need a break ah. If don't go I getting depression liao...heh. But I not greedy, short one will do. Still got many things to do in S'pore.

Maybe 2D1N..but where ah...Genting? Malaysia? Bangkok cannot go liao..All the countries like so boring. Feel like going Taiwan and HK, but budget and time constraint la...Help me think of a cheap, fun and good place!!!

I want to buy a lot of stuff......X'mas coming..i hint hint ur buy for me can?

My grades are bad, got a A, some B and a C. 1 more module still donno. Suddenly feel very tired, don't know how to carry on 3 and a half yrs more...

LIFE AFTER EXAMS

HELLO!
Sorry for the lack of updates...I am really very busy. Exams are just over!

These are the things I must do in this 1 month break! I wanted to come up with a list before exams, because that's the time when I feel like doing everything except studying. But once exams finish, I will lose interest in the stuff I wanted to do...and I can't remember the stuff I was so keen in doing during exams. Nevertheless, this is the list I came up with!

THINGS I MUST DO IN THIS 1-MONTH BREAK
1) Eat $10 Ice-Cream Buffet
2) Eat TungLok Buffet (Buy 1 Get 1 with UOB Card!)
3) Eat Dallas Fried Chicken
4) Meet & Catch up with many old friends.
5) Learn and Achieve Something! Golf..?
6) Go various shopping malls and Shop for New Stuff!
7) Earn more $.
8) Go Overseas! I just want a very short break! 2D1N?

Yeah...that's about it. I am sure the list will be much longer if I recorded down during my exam period, hah. Anyway, 1-month is really short. Also, I am going to start preparing on a big project really soon.

KOI Bubble Tea

Sorry for the lack of updates. I am really, really busy these days! Many things are coming up...I will be much more free in December (i hope)...

Anyway here's KOI BUBBLE TEA from the outlet at People's Park!

TASTE: 4.5/5 (But the standard not very consistant. The recent one I tried not very good)
VALUE: 3/4 (Very ex, I think $2 plus for a normal size cup)

I like to drink bubble tea a lot since secondary school. When I am crazy, I can drink a few cups EVERYDAY in the few months. But sometimes I will just stop drinking it for a few months when I am really sick of it.

I like Koi Bubble Tea a lot. The taste is very similar to the ones in Taiwan. But the standard a bit not consistant, I think really depends on who's the staff that do it for you.

They actually have staff flown down from Taiwan! That justify their high pricing ($2-$3 double SweetTalk's pricing) I know there's outlets in Marine Parade, HDB Hub area, and Chinatown People's Park area...so go get 1 and try. Order the normal bubble milk tea or hazelnut red milk tea! (remember to ask them give LESS pearl, I don't know why they always like to fill HALF the cup with pearls!!!)

Why you should be sad and why am I so happy?

I got a COW key holder! Tks YW for the gift! The smile of the cow brightens my day! Now my bunch of keys is getting heavier...heh


Recently, I feel that people around are always busy, tired, sad, angry, unsatisfied, moody, etc. But I can understand why.
Something to make ur more depressed.


WHY U SHOULD BE SAD?
1) You are studying, slogging through endless assignments and exams, and not having a life.
OR You are working, slogging through endless work you wish you are not doing, and not having a life.
2) You have a lot of friends, and all of them are fakes. Worse if you do not realise that.
3) You realise after all these, you have nothing.
4) You pretend that you are fulfilled or content.


WHY AM I SO HAPPY?
1) I have everything I want. Material, tangible stuff I mean. What do I lack? I cant think of anything. I have everything i want.
2) I am studying full-time, and so many yrs of studying (pri-JC) are probably to get me where I am now. The best is, I don't care about all my work. I have 2 tests on Mon and I am still going to enjoy my weekends.
3) I am working (biz, teaching, etc), and they are what I want to do, and I have an income.
4) I have a bunch of real friends.

I am just kidding about the above. Seriously. I am just blaffing myself. I am miserable too.

Hm anyway...which hotel should I go for my meal later, and should I drive my ferrari or lamborghini?

Grabbed this box from SPC, box of 12 for $12.80 after discount (UP: $16+). It is similar to Kinder Bueno, except that the cream inside is choco hazelnut cream (thicker than Kinder Bueno). Made in Turkey.

TASTE: 3.5/5 (Tired of Kinder Bueno? Try this!)

VALUE: 3.5/5 (Even after discount, it is still ard $1.10. Slightly cheaper than Kinder Bueno)

Cadbury Desserts Fudge Brownie

Sorry for the lack of posts recently...really busy. I have so many photos and reviews backdated, will post everything up next wk!

Bought from supermarket Giant. Ard $5.50. Very sweet. Perfect for sweet tooth. But a little too sweet for me. Made in New Zealand...I hope there's no melamine. Eat a bit also won't die ba..heh

TASTE: 3/5 (The filling fudge brownie is too mushy, its a chunk of extreme sweet choc...try other flavors next time)

VALUE: 3.5/5 (Its imported...)

Chewy Junior Donut-Puffs from Bugis Junction

Chewy Junior Donut-Puffs from Bugis Junction.

Is it a donut or is it a puff?

ANS: It's a chewy donut with delicious light fluffy cream in the centre!

The texture is really unique! It's CHEWY! It's like eating a chewy dough with light cream in the centre. The cream is very good, like those fresh cream texture..similar to the Papa Beard puff's cream filling. And it costs only $1.30 each, box of 6 for $7! (Papa Beard's puff costs $2 plus for one right? I can buy 2 of these!)

Eat it fresh, and it tastes better! Or chill it, and u have light chilled cream bursting out when u bite into it! My favourite flavour is DOUBLE CHOCOLATE (as seen in the picture!)

I think the first outlet is at Tanjong Pagar..and it got famous with many newspaper reviews. U can get it now at Bugis Junction. I heard that Bugis Junction outlet's puffs tastes better(as the boss is always there). I don't know as I always buy from Bugis...never buy from Tanjong Pagar before. Quality wise is reasonably consistent. Only complaint is that the cream seems to be a little lesser than the time when I first tried it. 

TASTE: 4 to 4.5/5 (I can't think of a substitute for it? I don't see other shops offering such chewy donuts puffs! Unique products get bonus pts!)

VALUE: 4/5 (It's only $1+ each! Really worth it!)

VERDICT: MUST TRY!

Morinaga Milk Chocolate

Got this off the shelf from 7-11, at $2 only (UP: $2.50). Made in Japan, good quality chocolate. 

TASTE: 4/5 (Can really taste chocolate, unlike some brands which have a 'flour' taste when too low percentage of chocolate solids is used. Only complaint is that the choco bar is too thin...)

VALUE: 4/5 ($2 only! It's Japanese quality!)

KFC Hot Devil Drumlets

I bought a Cheesy Meltz Set and alacarte new Hot Devil Drumlets takeaway...and when I went home, my Hot Devil Drumlets was missing! So 2 days later, I went back to claim back my Hot Devil Drumlets. Its $3.75 for 3 small drums lor, so expensive, of course must get back! The staff reluctantly gave me the drumlets, and said in chinese "next time need to check hor.." Siao! 

I immediate said, "You next time need to pack all the stuff properly, it's not I check!" She gave me an embarrassed smile. Crazy, you never pack properly it's my fault ah? Due to my gracious character these days, I did not pursue further. I would have complained to HQ if this happened in the past. These days I am very forgiving...haha

KFC Hot Devil Drumlets ($3.75, 3 small drums). 2 flavours available, BBQ and Thai. I chose BBQ. 

TASTE: 3.5/5 (Seasoning/Spice not very strong...may be too mild for spicy lovers)

VALUE: 2.5/5 (Too ex, each small drum costs $1.25!)
